My Favorite Makeup Removers At The Moment

September 22, 2015

I've been on a huge skincare kick lately and that includes makeup removing oils/wipes. There had been so many makeup oils/gels that I've tried but when it came to the wipes I wasn't too familiar with using them. I've tried the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes before but when I used it a long time ago, it made my face break out as well as get dry, red, and flaky. I was so afraid to try any wipes after that incident occurred. The first cleansing oil I used was the Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel, it was introduced to me by a worker at Sephora and I fell in love with the product because it was so gentle. I thought it was the best makeup removing product I ever used until I visited The Face Shop store.

The Face Shop is a Korean skincare/cosmetic brand and it's become really popular lately. Their products are quite affordable especially since whenever I leave the store I never feel my wallet aching. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Rich Oil has been the best makeup removing product that I ever used. It's gentle for sensitive skin and oily skin. I believe the product is more for those with dry skin but this will work for all skin types because it's not drying at all. Usually after I remove makeup off my face, I feel like all the moisture had been sucked out of my skin but with this product it doesn't feel that way. I could get away with not using moisturizer after which is completely shocking because usually I would have to run to my container of moisturizer and put it on due to how dry my skin felt. Another great thing about this product is that it doesn't burn my eyes at all, in fact it feels just like an oily water. Maybe that's not the best way to describe the feeling of this cleansing oil, but it truly has been a game changer. I also have to mention that this is my second bottle, when I ran out I was devastated because I couldn't live without it.

Now on to The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Tissue, it's perfect for the days I feel lazy (which is most days). I would get home from school and I would grab a wipe and start removing my makeup, it's that easy. It gets off all my eye makeup, but on days I'm wearing heavier eye makeup I would use the oil on my eyes right after. This is a little bit more drying than the cleansing oil but it may be that it doesn't have that most of the product that makes the wipes wet goes to the bottom of the bag. But this is great for on the go, traveling or lazy days.

These products are only available in stores so make sure to stop by and look at their skin care selections because there are so many options to choose from. I've also tried their masks and a blackhead strip they had. Their products seem to be sensitive skin friendly which is a huge plus in my book.

How do you remove your makeup?
