Products I Wish I Still Loved

October 13, 2015

I'm sure everyone has those few products in their collection that they loved when they first purchased it but after a while got tired of it. There are quite a few items in my collection that were once loved but now pushed to the side due to not being as great as the other products I now use. Most of these products are skincare products since I am always changing up my skincare routine.
Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Face Tonic: This was my first toner and I thought I was so in love with it but even though my skin was extremely oily I felt like it was a little too drying for my skin. I felt like it was actually really oily as well and it always made the bottle sticky. I don't remember why I loved this in the beginning but after a while it faded away and I found my new love, the Bosica Balancing Facial Tonic (I mentioned this toner in my Skincare routine).

Origins Gin-Zing Energy Boosting Moisturizer: When I first got this it was because of how much it was talked about within the Youtube community. A lot of bloggers were talking about it as well so I thought that I needed it. At first I did love it because it made me feel awake in the morning but then after a while of using it, I felt that my skin had been more oily than it was previously. Ever since I switched to the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream I've been attached to that.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel: I loved this moisturizer so much because it was from Clinique and this was a brand that some people in my family loved as well. I would use this moisturizer morning and night; it really was great for my oily skin but after a while I just forgot about it. Now that I'm using the face cream from Fresh, I don't think I could ever love this again.

Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment: This was very very hyped about and of course I fell into the hype. I was breaking out during that time and since this product was very raved about I thought that maybe it would help clear my skin. I will admit that this did clear some my skin and get rid some of the blackheads on my nose; but I don't think I should've spent that $69. I started using Lush masks and I completely forgot about this one, now it's all dried up.

Sephora Collection Lip Liner To Go (Nude Beige): I paired this with a lot of my lipsticks in the beginning when I first got this, but I've been addicted to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream's as well as the other liquid lipsticks I own that I stopped reaching for this. It wasn't that it didn't go well with the colors, it was that I enjoyed using pinkier lip liners. I probably will go back to using this once I start wearing my other lipsticks again.

Are there any products you have and wish you still used?

  1. Interesting to hear your thoughts on GlamGlow - I've never bought it because I just don't see how any little pot of mask could be worth that much. I'm with you on the Lush masks, they're great :)

    1. Sadly I thought it would live up to the hype but it wasn't as great as everyone said it was. It helped my skin but it isn't worth $69. Lush masks are perfect, especially the cupcake mask.

  2. This is really interesting! I guess we buy things sometimes because of the hype around it all but then it doesn't always work for us! Interesting to hear your thoughts on the Origins moisturiser, it's something I've considered buying before! xx

    1. Exactly! I think everyone falls into the hype sometimes. The origins moisturizer didn't work that well for me unfortunately.

  3. This is such a good post! And I feel like I could go on and on about some products I do not use. Right now I would have to say I have this Vitamin C cleanser from PeterThomasRoth.... meh. I sometimes switch it up, but I would be happy to trade it in for some new LUSH products! xo

    1. Thank you! I really want to try something from Peter Thomas Roth, but I'll be sure to stay away from that cleanser. I think Lush is amazing especially for skincare.

    1. I'm the same way, I'm always trying new products. You should try out a sample first, but I feel like for me at the end of the day it wasn't worth all that money.

  5. There is a lot but I haven't had the courage to look at them :p I feel like a lot of MAC stuff are like that for me, especially their mineralize blushes. I'm sorry you got all these things but now don't like them anymore!

    1. I know exactly how you feel, I've tried avoiding them for the longest time. You don't like the mac mineralize blushes?

  8. I have that Clinique moisturizer as well, and honestly never touch it anymore. I liked it before when I was a newbie to beauty and stuff, but ever since trying new products, I also can't go back to it.
