October Favorites

November 8, 2016

Time is definitely flying back so fast, I can't believe it's November already. I remember it being July and wishing for fall weather. Now it's November?! How crazy. Anyways, October has been my bad month. Bad because of all the makeup shopping I've been doing. I need to get back into the habit of not buying anything, but there's been so many new releases and of course all these sales coming up from Ulta & Sephora. For the month of October I have been reaching for a few older items that I've had for a while.
  • CoverFX Mattifying Primer with Anti Acne Treatment - I am completely obsessed with this primer. Would I say that this works and that all my breakouts have disappeared? No. I do find that it calms down the redness in my breakouts and that it doesn't dry out my skin. My biggest concern with primers that contain acne fighting agents such as salicylic acid, is that they usually dry my skin out...badly. But this primer doesn't which has been great.
  • Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer - THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS CONCEALER! I've been breaking out so badly, I was eating badly, sleeping late (due to stress from assignments I got from class), and was stressed out overall. I had a giant cystic pimple close to the inner corner of my eye and it was horrible. It hurt, and it made me really insecure because of how big it was. Thankfully this concealer really helped cover up all the redness. Update on the pimple? Well it's definitely gotten smaller but it's still sort of red but this concealer covers it all up.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow - In the mornings I've been rushing a lot more than usual. Only because it's freezing outside and I like to waste a few more minutes with my blanket wrapped around me. I like to make my options limited in the mornings so that I know exactly what I have to work with, that way I won't go digging around my drawers trying to find which bronzer or highlighter I want to use for the day. This duo is beautiful and I love to use the sculpting shade for contouring. (Full blog post)
  • Urban Decay Beached Bronzer (Bronzed) - Love this formula and the color looks really natural. It makes my bronzer seem as if I naturally had a tan.
  • Lorac Pro Palette 3 - The rose tones in this palette is so pretty. I don't have the other pro palettes but when this one came out I knew I was going to love it. The shades are all so pigmented and they blend beautifully.

  • Kylie Cosmetics Exposed Lip Kit - I know there's a lot of controversy around these lip kits, but I actually love the formula. I would consider it my all time favorite liquid lipstick color and formula. I've been wearing this for almost every single day, my friend even asks me "Are you wearing exposed?" just about everyday.
  • Kylie Cosmetics Dolce K Lip Liner - This color goes great with a lot of lip colors that I have. I even like to wearing this under exposed to darken it up.

  • Fearne Creative Design on Etsy - If your blog needs some revamping, this shop has such cute themes and the owner is really really sweet. She helped me with setting up the theme, and even accepted certain requests I had. Her themes are all so beautiful, and any time I had a question with my blog she was there to help which was so so so incredibly nice. Go check out her shop! You won't regret it one bit, I know that the next time I need a new theme I'll be buying it from her shop.
