Worth the hype? Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

December 11, 2016

Glossier. I hear so much about this brand no matter where I am. I'll be on the train and I overhear someone talking about the new serums, I'll be in class and someone will mention Glossier. It's as if I'm meant to buy something from this brand! A lot of people I know rave so much about these products so when I asked what was one thing I needed the most, most of the answers I received was to get the milky jelly cleanser!

The Milky Jelly Cleanser retails for $18 and has 6 oz. I would say that this is good product for sensitive/combination skin (my current skin type). You can use this as a regular day & night cleanser or as a makeup remover, I enjoy using this as a makeup remover the best.

The ingredients list: Water/Aqua/Eau, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Propanediol, Isohexadecane, Poloxamer 184, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Xylitylglucoside, Betaine, Allantoin, Glycerin, Panthenol, Symphytum Officinale Root Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Anhydroxylitol, Polysorbate 80, Xylitol, Ammonium Polyacyloyldimethyl Taurate, Isopropyl Myristate, Benzoic Acid, Ethyhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide

To remove makeup I would put 2-3 pumps of product onto my face and then rub it on gently. I find that this doesn't remove mascara that great but for face makeup and liquid lipstick it melts everything right off once I start to rinse the cleanser with warm water.

I really like how my face doesn't feel stripped of all the natural oils once I use this, that's a problem I suffer with a lot of makeup removing cleansers. When removing my eye makeup I find that it doesn't burn my eyes even if it accidentally makes contact with it and it doesn't give me a reaction (something I get with a lot of cleansers).
Glossier seems like a brand that values their customers opinions about them which is something I look for in a brand. When my package arrived I was so excited, it looked so cute. They had my cleanser wrapped up and in the ever so famous bubble wrap pouch along with some stickers! I was so excited to stick them on my notebooks, but besides the amazing packaging I think that this cleanser is worth the hype. I will purchase a few more skincare products from them once I finish up products in my current routine. I have my eyes on the serums but they've been out of stock for a while.

Have you tried Glossier before? What's your favorite product from this brand?
