Worth the Hype? Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara

October 1, 2016

Happy first day of October! I am so excited, I feel like as soon as I saw that it was October 1st, I was feeling all fall ready. Can you believe that it's almost Halloween? Then as soon as it's November 1st I know that I'll be ready for all the holiday candles and makeup. Anyways, lets talk about mascara. I've heard so much about the new Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara and I was very curious about it. Almost everyone who had it said it worked wonders and made their lashes look amazing. Well, did it?

The Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash Mascara retails for $25, and can be purchased at Sephora. I like how simple the packaging was, looked like other products from the MUFE family. This mascara claims to give volume, and buildable intensity. Did I notice any of that? Unfortunately no.

When I first opened the tube I noticed how the wand wasn't anything special, it looked kind of thin so I was a bit nervous about it not working as well. I really like the mascara wands from Dior, Benefit, or Too Faced since they're a bit bigger and give my lashes that fluffy, voluminous look which is my favorite.

The only thing I really enjoyed about this mascara was the length it gave my lashes, but for volume I didn't notice a huge difference. I tried this on my lower lashes but found that it smudged under my eyes so that wasn't good at all. I do like their Smoky Lash Mascara, which I found to make my lashes very voluminous compared to how they originally are.

I don't dislike this mascara, but it's not something I would repurchase again. It's decent for days where I want to go for a no makeup look because it looks very natural. But I will be finishing up this mascara and then going back to my Diorshow mascara since that works the best for me.
