2017 Best of Beauty

January 16, 2018

I bought so many products this year, and there was always the few products that I was constantly reaching for. These would be kept on my desk, and I found that I haven't been rotating my products often. So whatever I have included in this post, is basically what's on my desk everyday.

These products are truly what I consider my favorite beauty products of 2017 because of it's consistency, pigmentation, and how they wear on my skin. I've been really good at not buying much makeup lately because I feel like I have a really good collection with a variety of products.

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer - Light : I found that this eyeshadow primer really made a huge difference in the wear of my eyeshadow. It also allowed my eyeshadow to blend seamlessly compared to other primers that I've used in the past.
  • Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette : As soon as I saw a preview of this in the summer I knew I had to have it. I'm in love with all these orange, red, brown shades.
  • Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette : I used this palette on my birthday, for Thanksgiving, for Christmas, etc. This is a really great palette to own, and every time I wear colors from this palette I would get questions about it.
  • Stila Glitter & Glow - Smoky Storm : I reach for this whenever I'm going to a party or I want something more dramatic. The glitter doesn't get everywhere, and it really adds a nice pop to my eyes.
  • Nastasha Denona Chroma Crytal Top Coat - Bronze : This top coat is beautiful, it makes my eyeshadow look sparkly, and it shows up nicely in photos. I plan to purchase more colors soon.

  • NARS NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette : I don't have any NARS eyeshadows, and when I saw the colors in this palette I knew I needed it. I was shocked that I actually used the green eyeshadow, it isn't too out there and can still create a natural eye look.
  • Eyelure Vegas Nay Easy Elegance Lashes : My favorite lashes by far! I always go through so many lashes and trying to find one that works the best for me, and these are definitely it.

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - Dark Brown : I started to get used to using this pomade now. I remember when I had it a few years ago, it was really difficult for me to use. But I use it everyday now and I find that it looks really natural.
  • LancĂ´me Monsieur Big Mascara : OBSESSED. It makes my lashes look very voluminous and long. I notice that it does flake a lot when I'm opening it, but it doesn't flake off my lashes which is the most important thing to take note of.
  • Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara : This mascara also makes my lashes look amazing, and I'm obsessed with the applicator. I don't have to put on many coats.
  • Glossier Boy Brow - Black : I've been using this to set my brows a lot, and it gives them a really nice look.

  • Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation : I was shocked at how much I used this foundation. I feel like there's barely anything left. Whenever I wear this, it feels like there's nothing on my face and I find that it doesn't transfer or oxidize.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation : This shade is now too dark for me, but I used it a lot in 2017 especially the summer. It isn't an uncomfortable matte, but I feel like with my super oily skin type it gives me a very natural finish.
  • Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer : This is the best under eye concealer I ever used. A little goes a long way, it has amazing coverage. I will definitely repurchase.
  • NARS Soft Matte Concealer : I am already running low on this. I use this to cover any blemishes, and on days that I don't wear foundation I find that it looks very natural.
