Fall 2019 Favorites

November 24, 2019

Fall is my favorite time of the year because it's not scorching hot. But I feel like this year the weather went from summer straight to winter which I'm not a fan of at all. I didn't get to wear any of my cute fall clothes, because I've been all bundled up with my thick sweaters and heavy jacket. Luckily, my fall makeup look hasn't been affected at all.

The Natasha Denona Sunrise Eyeshadow Palette is something that I just started to use and I have been loving the shades in this. I've never been disappointed in the Natasha Denona formula, just the price point. I do have to say that her shadows are so easy to blend and the tones in this palette is quite unique. This palette has been pushing me out of my very warm neutral brown look, and I've been trying to incorporate more of the reds, yellows, and oranges into my fall glam. My favorite shadows in this palette have to be all the shimmer shades - they're all so easy to layer as well.
So this is a sample of the Pat McGrath FetishEyes Mascara that I got in a Sephora order. I've been absolutely obsessed with this. I wore this to dinner the other night and my friend couldn't stop complimenting how long my lashes looked. Whenever I get compliments about my lashes, it makes me love the mascara even more. Once I finish this sample I know I will definitely pick up the full size of it.

Something I use every single day, no matter what makeup look or if I'm even wearing makeup is Glossier's Invisible Shield. I love that this doesn't leave a white cast, and that it blends into my skin seamlessly. I usually go back and forth when using different sunscreens, but I've been using this consistently since the summer now.

These days I've been very into light weight foundations, or a skin tint. Recently during the Sephora VIB sale I picked up this Kat Von D True Portrait Foundation. On the description of this foundation it says that it's a light weight medium cover foundation that sets to an airy matte finish. I find that it's a very buildable foundation, and it reminds me of Glossier's Perfecting Skin Tint, except it's a demi-matte. On day's my skin is feeling a little more dry I'll use the perfecting skin tint, and on days I want a little more coverage than my perfecting skin tint I'll use this true portrait foundation.

Please ignore my horrible arm swatches - never been good at these, but hey at least I'm trying! But I'm so into these muted brown/peachy shades. Sometimes if I feel like my lips look a little too nude, I'll put on my KKW x Mario gloss and it makes the whole look complete. I've been layering these two together whenever I do my makeup and it lasts a while even after eating.
