Skincare I Had Less Than 30 Minutes to Pack!

March 28, 2020

First off, I want to start by saying that I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! It's such a scary and confusing time right now. I've been trying to stay positive and not think too much about the negative outcomes. When all of this was happening I wasn't taking it too seriously, but as the news of Covid-19 was on the news everyday it started to get scary. I went back home to stay with my family, so I quickly packed up my things. Which leads me to this blog post - I had a few hours to pack up my skincare before my dad picked me up from my apartment, and this was what I chose!

I use the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser everyday, it's one of my favorite favorite cleansers. It's so soft and gentle which I like. My skin is really sensitive so it's hard for me to find a really good cleanser, but this one I've been using religiously for years now. Instead of bringing my Glossier Milky Oil (I ran out!) I had no choice but to bring my La Roche-Posay Micellar Water with me, the only reason why I have this to begin with, is because on vacation I forgot to bring a makeup remover and this was the only thing available that I most likely wasn't allergic to. I dislike the fragrance - it's quite strong and I feel like my face gets tight/dry after using this.

One of my best friends got me the Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Gel Cream. I've been hearing so much about this on blogs so I've been wanting to try it. I have oily skin, but since it's been colder out my skin has a few dry patches here and there. This is a gel cream so it's good for oily skin, but it's nourishing enough for those dry parts of my face. I love how lightweight this is, and it doesn't make my skin look greasy.

My skin has been breaking out again...(so annoying). But I've been using this oil for years now and I find that it does help to clear up my skin. Whenever I get breakouts my skin looks so dull, but this kind of helps to clear up the breakouts while making other parts of my face look more lively. I don't use this everyday, more like twice a week.

I have a couple of dry patches on my face which I blame on the weather. There are also some days where my skin feels so dry, and I find that this oil is a quick fix. Also I still remember my skin was so dehydrated once after a vacation I was on, I also wasn't drinking much water. My skin had a ton of little dots on it, and after two days of wearing this all over it went away. So I've been really attached to this oil.

I bought this during one of the Sephora VIB sales and I am in love with this! I love how rich the cream feels, and it really moisturizes and locks in the moisture. It doesn't make my face feel greasy which I love. It's hard to find a thick moisturizer that doesn't make you look like a greasy mess in the morning!
